Magnesium is a mineral. It can be helpful for people who are dealing with IBS constipation. It helps absorb water and move it into the gut. You should drink plenty of water when taking a Magnesium supplement. Some supplements are sold as Magnesium-Calcium combinations. Calcium has constipating properties so I would avoid it if you’re dealing with IBS related constipation.
